YouthLink Calgary Website.
I supervised the creation of this award winning website while I was at YouthLink.
The primary challenge for its website is the diverse audiences it attracts. The website had to be able to deliver relevant information to kids, teachers, and parents, as well as the general public.
The site utilizes a number of landing pages to properly categorize visitors. Each landing page features a aggregator that can further filter the site content, giving the users the shortest possible path to the information they are looking for.

YouthLink Calgary Media Wall
I had the great fortune of being a part of the design and development of the brand new YouthLink Calgary Police Interpretive Centre as the Director of Technology.
One of the showcase exhibits was the Media Wall, a 20′ touch screen experience that gave visitors access to over 2,000 pieces of the massive historic and archival collections housed at YouthLink. I created the concept, proposed and won the budget, and directed the construction and programming for this first of its kind digital, interactive exhibit.
Visitors are able to explore a number of story tracks featuring some of the most prominent units of the Calgary Police Service such as K9, TAC, HAWCS, Women in Policing, and the Public Safety Unit. Each story track includes articles, scanned historic documents, and hundreds of photographs. Other experiences also included games and a selfie creator.
The software was created to link to a web-based database and is completely updatable and expandable by the YouthLink staff as new research is done on their collections and new images and artifacts are digitized.
